About Helena Meadows

Full Clinical Hypno-Psychotherapist

BSc (Psychology), ADHP (NC), DipHyp
UKCP, HS, NSTT

I have experience working with various psychological conditions, including stress, anxiety, depression, disordered eating and weight issues, problematic relationships and traumatic experiences.

I am an accredited member of the UKCP with extensive training and many years of experience, working in alliance with clients towards overcoming their personal challenges, managing stress and developing resilience. For further discussion just get in touch.

With a 5-year degree in psychology, further training in hypnotherapy and at master’s level in Hypno-Psychotherapy, I work with clients towards the understanding of their psychological functioning and distress – and their creative, individual ways of experience – with more effective coping strategies and capacity to change.

I use a synergy of psychotherapeutic techniques deriving from different theoretical models for a tailor-made approach that respects the client’s style, strengths and difficulties.

Our natural capacity to adapt and heal can be put to a test every day in our rapidly changing world. Fortunately, therapeutic support is also evolving, and it can start here.

If you would like a (free of charge) initial consultation, feel free to contact me.

As most Hypno-Therapists, I have experience working with stress, anxiety and/or depression, deriving from a number of experiences and revealing in various forms such as for instance disordered eating, anger or difficulties with work or in relationships.

Education & Memberships

Qualifications

A 5-year degree in Psychology, Level 7 training (Master’s level) in Hypno-Psychotherapy, Diploma in Hypnotherapy, Ongoing regular CPD training.

I learned about past and current therapeutic theories and techniques to help manage the individual’s psychological processes as and when necessary. I read extensively, I keep connected and updated and participate in the most worthwhile presentations. My role as a psychotherapist however, gains its extraordinary meaning when I work with my clients, feel the intensity of emotions that are played in the room, share their suffering and resilience. I witness their individual and unique mental flexibility and originality in dealing with their issues. I learn about trust, empathy and the courage it takes to seek help.

Always Evolving

Embracing new understanding, techniques, and the privilege of helping others grow.

The understanding of human psychological functioning has evolved dramatically in the last couple of decades, due to advances in technology and to scientific research, making this a fascinating and special time to work in mental health.

I embrace new challenges and welcome innovation that is consistent with the direction and pace of life. I feel privileged that different generations of clients continue to share with me their subjective experiences and allow me to be a part in their development and/or healing process.
