Experience
V2 Survey is a new name built on almost two decades of surveying experience.
Our roots can be traced back to Vision Survey, the family business established in 2007. From its beginnings in utility surveying and service protection, Vision grew to support some of the UK’s largest and most complex construction and infrastructure programmes.
That experience shapes how V2 operates today. We take the knowledge gained, lessons learned and standards developed over almost 20 years and apply them with a clear focus on what clients value most.
Reliability.
Quality.
Flexibility.
Communication.
Consistency.
The experience behind V2 spans some of the UK’s most demanding construction and operational environments.
From major airport programmes at Heathrow and Gatwick, to nationally significant infrastructure projects including Hinkley Point, Sizewell C, Thames Tideway and HS2, our experience has been built in environments where accurate information, safe delivery and reliable service matter.

Programmes listed represent experience gained through Vision Survey, the business behind V2. They are shown as the experience behind V2, not as contracts delivered by V2 Survey.
Within aviation, our experience includes programmes such as the Future Energy Strategy with UK Power Networks Services at Heathrow, Heathrow Campus Security Programme, Terminal 2 Baggage System and Gatwick Pier 6.
Across the water sector, our experience extends from Thames Tideway to Thames Water AMP7 De-Risking programmes, sewage treatment works, utility infrastructure and water main replacement schemes. On Thames Tideway, previous experience included overseeing the management of utility information from inception through to delivery.
Our highways experience has been developed through hundreds of surveying commissions across the UK, covering utility, topographical, drainage, pavement and wider construction support requirements.
Within rail and major infrastructure, our experience includes HS2 at Old Oak Common and across the wider HS2 programme, alongside nuclear and other nationally significant infrastructure environments.
Working on major infrastructure teaches you that delivering a successful survey involves much more than collecting accurate data.
Projects of this scale bring complex access requirements, live operational environments, security restrictions, permits, traffic management, changing programmes and multiple stakeholders.

The survey still needs to be right, but it also needs to be delivered in a way that works with the wider project.
That practical experience influences how V2 plans, manages and delivers its work today.
Aviation experience
Our experience at Heathrow and Gatwick spans utility surveying, topographical surveying, setting out, service protection, drainage investigation and wider survey support across both airside and landside environments.
We understand that working within a live airport requires more than technical surveying capability. Restricted working windows, security requirements, permits, operational interfaces and changing access arrangements all need to be managed effectively.
That understanding allows us to integrate with the wider project team and focus on delivering the information required within the time available.
Our experience extends well beyond aviation.
Across water, we have supported major programmes including Thames Tideway and AMP7 work, alongside sewage treatment works, utility infrastructure and water main replacement schemes.

Across highways, our experience covers hundreds of commissions, with survey disciplines frequently combined to support design, construction, maintenance and improvement programmes.

Our wider infrastructure background includes nuclear, rail, utilities and major civil engineering, providing an understanding of the different challenges these environments present.

Almost two decades in surveying provides plenty of opportunity to understand what works and, equally importantly, what can be done better.
For V2, those lessons come back to something simple: get the fundamentals right.
Understand what the client needs. Ask the right questions. Plan properly. Communicate throughout. Deliver accurate information. Deliver it when you said you would.
Technology changes and surveying techniques continue to develop. The fundamentals of providing a reliable, responsive and consistent service remain at the heart of V2.
Survey information is often one of the first pieces of information required in the project lifecycle. Get that information right and the project team can make better informed decisions about what comes next.
Our role is not simply to collect data. We use our experience to understand what the project is trying to achieve, establish the right survey scope and provide clear, reliable information that allows our clients to progress with confidence.
